How to use INSTAGRAM for Personal Branding

So you started a new company or are employed in one and want to promote it to a wide range of audience, there ain't a better place than social media.

As true to my word I am continuing the series on personal branding and today's topic is going to be branding yourself on Instagram.
There are various steps to stand different from others on any kind of application, so without any time let's get into it, We will have a total of 9 steps which will surely help to improve personal branding. Let's begin with the first one:-

1) Creating your profile

The most important thing in the whole branding part is that you need a profile with a proper username which matches your company's background i.e. It's a tech company or a manufacturing company company etc.
Then comes the bio which should be filled with some keywords that will easily give your profile preference in search result of people when they will search for it. Do not mention birth dates or stuff, add the things that your company is famous for and the speciality about it.

2) Profile Picture

Now you may be thinking why I added this in the second point instead of mentioning it in the first point, but let me tell you that an appropriate profile picture will be required on all social media platforms which should be the same everywhere so that people can easily recognize you from it. The profile picture should not be changed consistently but once in three months.

3) What stuff to post

You are now ready with your profile so let's get to the posting stuff. Your posts are a reflection of your company. This part is the most important as audience follow you if they get attracted to your post or feel connected to it.A video can say a lot about your company so it can be uploaded on IGTV and photos should be related to your company and connected to the followers.

4) Track your stats

This point is also important because you should keep a track on your old posts as this will give you an idea of what are the interest of your followers also if possible interact with them once a month.

5) Integrating your other social media accounts

You can post to other social media accounts using Instagram as a starting point. Link up your Facebook, Twitter and cross promote your social media accounts, leveraging each one to grow and expand your audience.

6) Authenticity

Well, it means being genuine. You don’t want to force your posts or get too analytical about them. Whatever you post should come from a real place within yourself, not just because you want to get more followers. Sometimes you may not want to use filters and just use the raw image.  As long as you express something authentic, people will connect.

7) Scheduling

Have a content schedule mapped out for yourself. Your posts may have more engagements when you select specific times that increase the amount of eyeballs that will see what your posting.

8) Reply to comments

If you interact with your followers they will feel more connected and will increase the trust between you two. Always keep it real with people and stay humble whether you have 100 followers or 1 million.

9) Hashtags

Use your hashtags in abundance and in accuracy. You can cover 15 or more hashtags for a post and you can always delete them down after your post has been live for a couple of hours. You don’t ever want to come off like spam so be careful how you use this tactic and don't forget that the hashtags should be relevant.
